Individual Therapy in Strathroy and London, Ontario & Online Across Ontario
Understanding Yourself. Finding Balance. Moving Forward.
Healing Begins with Understanding
Therapy offers a safe and compassionate space to explore what’s happening beneath the surface, your thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may feel difficult to untangle on your own.
It is not about “fixing” you, it is about helping you understand yourself more deeply, find meaning in your experiences, and move toward greater balance and peace.
Guided with compassion and faith, I provide therapy that honours your pace and your story. Together, we’ll create a space where you can begin to heal, grow, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that feel whole and strong.
How Individual Therapy Can Help
Life can leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected, sometimes without knowing why.
Individual therapy helps you uncover the patterns and emotions that shape how you respond to life’s challenges, and supports you in developing new ways to cope, connect, and grow.
In our sessions, we might:
- Explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences with curiosity and care
- Identify what has been keeping you stuck or overwhelmed
- Build tools to manage stress, anxiety, or emotional triggers
- Strengthen boundaries and self-awareness
- Create space for calm, compassion, and renewal
Therapy is a collaborative process, we move at a pace that feels safe and right for you.
What Sessions Are Like
First Session:
We will begin by exploring what brings you to therapy, what you hope to achieve, and any immediate concerns. You don’t need to have everything figured out; we start with connection and understanding.
Ongoing Sessions:
As we continue, we will work through the experiences and emotions that arise, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Trauma-Focused Therapy to support your healing.
The Therapy Space:
Whether in person or online, I strive to create a calm, grounded environment where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment or pressure.
Many clients describe therapy as both a place to process and a place to practice, a space where awareness and change grow side by side.

Begin Where You Are
You don’t have to have all the answers before starting. Therapy is about showing up as you are and taking the next step toward healing.
Reaching out is an act of courage, and the beginning of change.
If you’re ready to begin, I’d be honoured to walk beside you.
FAQ
What happens in a typical therapy session?
A typical session is a calm, conversational space where you can talk about what has been weighing on you, explore your thoughts and emotions, and begin to understand the patterns that may be shaping your experiences. We move gently and at your pace. Some sessions focus on reflection and grounding, while others may involve learning new coping tools, exploring emotional triggers, or using therapeutic techniques such as EMDR or Emotionally Focused Therapy when appropriate. You do not need to come prepared with a topic. Your natural thoughts and feelings guide the work.
Do I need to know what to talk about before I begin?
No. Many people come to therapy unsure of where to start. It is completely normal to feel uncertain or overwhelmed in the beginning. My role is to help you feel safe, supported, and grounded so that your thoughts and emotions can unfold naturally. Together, we discover what feels most important for you to explore.
How long are sessions, and how often do we meet?
Sessions are usually sixty minutes long. Some people prefer weekly sessions, while others choose biweekly appointments. We will talk together about what schedule feels supportive, sustainable, and aligned with your needs. Therapy is flexible, and the frequency can be adjusted at any time.
What concerns can individual therapy help with?
Individual therapy can help with trauma, anxiety, ongoing stress, emotional overwhelm, grief, burnout, self worth challenges, relationship concerns, life transitions, and the effects of past experiences that continue to feel unresolved. Therapy provides a space to understand what you are carrying, make sense of your reactions, and build tools that support calm, clarity, and emotional balance
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Everything you share remains confidential except in specific circumstances required by law, such as concerns about immediate safety. We discuss confidentiality at your first session so you have a clear understanding of your rights and the boundaries of the therapeutic relationship. The goal is to help you feel safe, respected, and able to speak openly.
How long does therapy take?
The length of therapy varies depending on your goals and what you are hoping to address. Some clients attend for a short period to focus on a specific concern. Others appreciate deeper, ongoing work. Healing is not a one size fits all process. We regularly check in together to ensure the pace and direction continue to feel right for you.
Do we have to talk about everything that happened in the past?
No. You are always in control of what you share. Therapy is not about recounting every detail or forcing yourself to revisit difficult memories before you feel ready. Many approaches I use focus on how your experiences affect you now, and we can work gently with that. Your sense of safety and readiness always guide the process.
What if I feel nervous about starting therapy?
It is very common to feel nervous or unsure in the beginning. Many people feel this way when stepping into something new or vulnerable. Therapy is a place where you can arrive exactly as you are, without judgment or pressure. We go slowly, build trust gradually, and create a pace that feels secure and grounding for you
Do you offer online sessions for individual therapy?
Yes. Individual therapy is available both in person and online. Online sessions are secure and confidential, and many clients find them equally meaningful and effective. You are welcome to choose whichever format feels most comfortable or switch between them when needed.
What if I am unsure whether therapy is right for me?
If you are unsure, beginning with a consultation can help you understand the process and ask questions without any commitment. The consultation is simply a chance to explore what you need and determine whether this feels like a good fit.
